I was able to ask two college professors about what they thought about the culture and society in 1754-1800. Sadly, both did not respond. I did receive a email from one professor, but it was only for an incomplete email address.

I was able to get a family member to write their perspective on this period of time.
During the time period, a lot of events were happening. One major event that happened was the signing of the Declaration of Independence in the 2nd Continental Congress. The Declaration of Independence was written and signed, so that the colonies could receive their independence from England.
There's a lot of events in this time that are just like or around the events that are happening today. The American Revolution, The Boston Tea Party/Boston Massacre, the failure of the Articles of Confederation, The Declaration of Independence, and The Constitution were just a few events that happened during this time period.
The culture of the colonies has changed. The colonists, now free people from England and England's government, started shaping their identity as free people, even though they are now really young.
So, here we are. The colonists have survived the French and Indian war, gained new land, but couldn't go to that land. They also survived the American Revolution, and started to make a government. All in all, the colonists have been busy.
